The alumni of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at LBS College of Engineering gathered to honor the memory of Deepa S. Pillai, who passed away on April 23rd, 2025. A member of the 1993–1997 batch, Deepa was remembered with warmth and respect during a memorial event held in her hometown of Ernakulam, at Sneha Bhavan, Palluruthy, on July 13th. She was an elected convenor of the current Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Alumni Association.
The ceremony was presided over by LBS Alumni Convener Shri Praveen Sreekumaran Nair. Rev. Father Thomas offered a heartfelt welcome to the attendees, while Shri Jewel Jose presented the official condolence resolution. Several others, including Shri Sajith and Dr. Maya, shared their memories and words of sympathy.
Smt. Manju V., representing the Electrical & Electronics Engineering staff of LBS College, conveyed her gratitude on behalf of the department. The gathering concluded with a shared lunch alongside the residents of Sneha Bhavan, marking a poignant end to a heartfelt tribute.
