22nd April 2025 marked the formal handover of a newly renovated seminar hall equipped with a smart screen at the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department. The event also featured the inauguration of a summer course for school students, aimed at engaging young minds in science and technology.
The renovation project was made possible through the generous contribution of the 1996–2000 batch alumni, who donated a total of seven lakhs rupees — five lakhs towards the seminar hall renovation in memory of their classmate Vineeth Thankappan, and two lakhs towards student scholarships in memory of another classmate Lakshmy K M.
The initiative reflects the batch’s lasting bond with their alma mater and their commitment to supporting the next generation of learners. Firaz T. Abdulla, Assistant General Manager at BSNL, represented the batch during the event. The department expressed gratitude to all contributors and acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Roy Thankachan, Dr. Sheeba K, and Dr. Mary Reena for coordinating and leading this initiative.
